the endless river

I was privileged to engage in a collaborative effort with the renowned British artist and director, Ian Ronald Eames, on the production of Pink Floyd's The Endless River album.

The Endless River is a 53-minute music film taken from the final album of Pink Floyd's final career, written by artist and animator Ian Ames who shaped their visual style). The film is part of a box set “The Later Years”.

In my capacity as a creator, I was able to utilise my proficiency in character design to create visually captivating kaleidoscopic Extraterrestrial and a Extraterrestrial being in shades of blue and pink, while also integrating cinematic elements such as bruising and scuffs on actors.

The experience of working alongside the highly skilled director Ian Emes, art director and set designer David Curtis-Ring, and cinematographer David Cawley proved to be an invaluable educational opportunity.

The narrative is open ended, therefore open to individual interpretation, along the lines of: In the parallel worlds of the past and the future, two tribes struggle to survive on a dying planet, while attempting to communicate with the life force of earth itself. As time runs out, a monolith approaches from outer space, carrying within it a puzzle which they fail to understand.
